It is battery operated and provides two reference voltages at 10.00V and 1.00V. It replaces the old ‘Weston Standard Cell’ for most applications. The IEC Voltage Reference is a new and advanced alternative to the traditional 'Weston Standard Cell'. It incorporates 2x 9V #216 transistor batteries and offers precise 1.00V and 10.00V outputs that are ideal for calibrating various instruments, including meters, multimeters, and oscilloscopes.
