This comes in a kit that requires assembly using the provided parts. The design includes a flat aluminum plate that can be held horizontally, while a large coil of wire is wound around it. This system is constructed entirely of aluminum, ensuring zero magnetic interference. Place a magnetic compass on the plate and pass a DC current through the coil to observe the interference between the earth's magnetic field and the field created by the coil.
