The Narika SUGU-M USB Mass Sensor measures the mass of materials and automatically generates time–mass graphs through its dedicated web application. A single built-in USB cable connects the sensor to a PC, supplying both power and data transfer — no separate power adapter and no driver installation required. Measurement data is displayed as real-time graphs directly on the PC, making the SUGU-M well suited to classroom demonstrations and student experiments involving mass change over time.
The sensor can also be used stand-alone, with no application at all, as long as it is connected to a USB power source — the on-board LCDs display readings in grams or newtons.
Key Features
• Single-cable USB operation — Connect the built-in USB cable to a PC for both power and data transfer.
• Automatic graphing — The dedicated web application displays real-time time–mass graphs on the PC.
• Driver-free setup — No driver installation is required for PC communication.
• Stand-alone mode — Works with no application when connected to USB power; readings show on the LCD.
• Dual units — Measure in grams (g) or newtons (N) with unit conversion at the press of a button.
• Practical controls — Selectable display resolution, zero adjustment (tare) and a safety lock function.

Functions
• Selectable display resolution
• Unit conversion (g ⇄ N)
• Safety lock function
• Zero adjustment
Applications & Uses
• Time–mass experiments such as evaporation, dissolution, chemical reactions with gas release, and absorption studies.
• Physics lessons on mass versus force, using the dual g / N display.
• School and university practical classes where quick, driver-free setup on shared PCs or Chromebooks is essential.
• Demonstrations projected in real time from the web application for whole-class viewing.
• General bench-top mass measurement up to 520 g in stand-alone mode.
How to Use
1. Place the sensor on a stable, level bench and connect the built-in USB cable to your PC (Windows 11 or ChromeOS) or to a USB power source for stand-alone use.
2. Release the safety lock, select your preferred unit (g or N) and display resolution, then press zero adjustment to tare.
3. Place your sample or apparatus on the 125 mm balance pan, keeping within the 520 g (5.10 N) maximum capacity.
4. For logging, open the dedicated web application on the connected PC — measurement data is graphed against time automatically, in real time.
5. After use, remove the load, engage the safety lock and store the sensor in a clean, dry place.
