Apera TDS20 Pocket TDS Tester Kit — IP67 Waterproof, BPB Probe, ATC
The Apera TDS20 is a reliable, great-value pocket TDS tester built for everyday water quality checks — hydroponics and nutrient solutions, classroom and teaching labs, tap and drinking water, pools and spas, aquaculture, and water and wastewater treatment. It measures total dissolved solids across 0–100.0 ppm, 0–1,000 ppm and 0–10.00 ppt to ±1% full scale, with automatic temperature compensation from 0 to 50°C and a simultaneous temperature reading accurate to ±0.5°C.
Calibration is a one- or two-point routine using the supplied 1413 µS and 12.88 mS standards, and the meter’s self-diagnosis flags a wrong or out-of-range solution before it can corrupt your reading. An adjustable TDS conversion factor (0.40–1.00, factory-set at 0.71) lets you match the meter to your solution chemistry rather than accepting a fixed conversion factor.
Features and benefits - Instruction Manual
• BPB platinum-black sensor — Apera’s Brush-Resistant Platinum Black electrode minimises polarisation, widens the usable measuring range and stands up to cleaning far better than plain stainless steel, giving more consistent wide-range results.
• Adjustable TDS factor — set the conversion factor anywhere from 0.40 to 1.00 (default 0.71) to suit your solution, with a reference chart supplied for common conductivity ranges.
• Large 180° STN LCD — TDS and temperature shown together, readable from any angle, with calibration status icons on screen.
• Stable-reading smiley icon — take the reading only when the smiley appears and holds, so results aren’t recorded mid-drift.
• Self-diagnosis — Er1 warns of a wrong or out-of-range calibration solution, Er2 warns that confirmation was pressed before the reading settled.
• Automatic temperature compensation — 0 to 50°C ATC keeps readings comparable across sample temperatures.
• IP67 waterproof and dustproof, and it floats — drop it in the tank or the pool and simply retrieve it.
• Up to 1,000 hours on 4 x AAA batteries — with a flashing low-battery reminder and auto power-off after 8 minutes idle.
• Complete ready-to-use kit — calibration solutions, batteries and lanyard supplied in a portable carrying case.
• Two-year instrument warranty — backed by a six-month limited warranty on the probe.
