The Joules Calorimeter comes with a fitted insert made from copper, including a lid with a stirrer and spin-free socket head terminals supporting conducting rods with a resistance heating coil of 2 ohms. This allows for the precise measurement of electrical energy used to heat a specific amount of water by a certain number of degrees when inserted into a calorimeter cup.
Includes:
- 2 x 4mm diameter socket head terminals
- Small heating element of approx. 2 ohms resistance
- Plastic stirrer captive on the heater support pins
