Tangent Galvanometer Mini Round, commonly referred to as "Ampere Turns", is a sturdy instrument is built with non-magnetic materials. It comes fully assembled and allows for experiments involving electric currents and magnetic fields. By utilizing the earth's magnetic field as a reference, it demonstrates that magnetic fields combine as vectors and the strength of a field in a coil is determined by the current and number of turns. 

Kit Includes: 

• 1 x Mini Tangent Galvanometer, round format. Complete with 20 turn coil tapped at 5, 10, 15 turns. Use about 2V.DC. for max current of 1 amp
• 1 x Magnetic compass fixed to platform
