The Spectroscope with Calibrated Scale and Adjustable Slit is a handheld and self-contained instrument for the separating and measuring of optical light components in nanometers. Its calibrated scale and adjustable slit make it an essential tool for analyzing the wavelengths of light from any source. 

This instrument uses a diffraction grating to deflect light to the viewer's eye, with shorter wavelengths deflecting more than longer wavelengths. The scale inside allows for measurement and calibration of the deflection as nanometer wavelengths.
