Molecular Sieves are used to absorb water, for instance, to remove water from alcohol or other solvents which cannot be separated by distillation. These sieves are crystalline metal aluminosilicates having a three-dimensional interconnecting network consisting of silica and alumina tetrahedra. This material traps the water and does not dissolve. Simply place some of the sieves into your liquid, let it sit for a while, and then pour off or filter the liquid.
