A Methyl Violet Test Paper is specially designed for testing pH levels within a narrow range. It undergoes a color change from yellow (pH 0.2) to violet (pH 2.0) to indicate the acidity of a solution. It is not recommended for testing the stability of nitrocellulose propellants.
It is used in microbiology and bacteriology labs to determine the pH levels of bacteria and aids in classifying and identifying bacteria based on their cell wall characteristics.
