The Small Dissectible Transformer is a simplified version of the 'Hodson' Induction Kit, featuring a 'U' and 'I' core and a set of coils for studying induction and transformers. This product is designed to safely operate at 12V AC and includes iron bars for exploring iron losses, eddy currents, DC and AC magnets, and other features. It also comes with a pair of sturdy Alnico bar magnets.
This convenient low voltage kit is compactly stored in a plastic carry pack with a handle and foam inserts. It includes a transformer from the 'Hodson' Induction Kit with 3x pre-wound coils for primaries and secondaries. No coil-winding is needed for students.
