This Geiger Counter is powered by 3 'AA' cells and has a sensitive and robust design. It can detect Gamma, Beta, and high energy Alpha particles, and has adjustable tube voltage up to 600V. The unit can be powered by either 240/12V.AC or a Plug Pak if the cells die.

C. Tube Holder and Support

The base is made of plastic and features clips that keep the Geiger Tube holder in a horizontal position, aligned with the holder that supports the Radio Active sources and Absorbers.

D. Rate Meter, 240V AC Power, Without GM Tube

This Geiger Counter is ideal for classroom use, with a remote GM tube connected by a standard BNC plug. It has a large red LED display and adjustable tube voltage up to 600V. Counts can be heard through the inbuilt loudspeaker with volume control, and can be displayed as continuous counts, counts over preset times, or as a rate in counts/second.
