The Thermo-Generator is a cell that runs using the 'Peltier Effect'. The 'Thermocouple' is a device that generates a voltage when a junction between 2 different metals is heated. The Thermo-Generator is the opposite effect. When current is applied to many junctions in the form of a flat plate, one side of the junction becomes hot and the other side becomes cold.

This instrument does not have any specific experiments associated with it, but other available instruments allow for quantitative experiments to be conducted using similar cells. Temperature rises and falls in water vessels can be measured for this purpose.
