A Motor / Generator Hand Wind (Fits U Core) is a compact DC Motor/Generator that can be hand-wound with a wheel and belt. The belt is easily removable when running as a DC Motor. It can be powered by a permanent 'U' shaped magnet or by fitting into a 'U'-shaped core as part of the 'Hodson' Induction kit. It is versatile and a precise motor with a 2 pole rotor, 2 bar commutator, and 2 slip-rings, suitable for use as a DC or AC motor or manually operated generator. 

When used with the 'U' core, a coil on the core can control the strength of the DC field, allowing for the study of the Motor or Generator's behavior.

Kit Includes:

• 1 x DC/AC Motor/Generator with winder, belt, output terminals and LED monitors
• 1 x “U” shaped strong permanent magnet to create motor field
• 1 x Lamp load (2.5V 300mA) mounted to a circuit board for plugging into the terminals.
