Diffraction Grating Plastic Mounts are used to disperse light into its individual colors, similar to a glass prism. By knowing the grating line pitch and the deviation angle of the light passing through, the wavelength of the light can be accurately calculated. 

The diffraction patterns are produced by a holographic grating, resulting in a clear and bright display. The film is securely mounted in plastic, specifically in the form of a 35mm slide.
